The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Tajnagari Agra. The chief guest at the Republic Day function organized at Police Line Parade Ground was Union Minister of State, Prof. SP Singh Baghel hoisted the flag and administered the oath on the Preamble of the Constitution and inspected the parade and took the salute. On this occasion, a parade was taken out by various branches of the police force in the parade ground. Police constables and officers were honored for their excellent services. Whereas Divisional Commissioner Ritu Maheshwari hoisted the flag in the Commissionerate and District Magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami hoisted the flag in the Collectorate premises. He administered the resolution on the Preamble of the Constitution to the officers and employees present.
Union Minister of State Prof. SP Singh Baghel said that India will be a developed nation by 2047. During this, he told about the achievements of the Central and State Government and wished everyone a happy Republic Day. He congratulated the city’s renowned Dr. Radhey Shyam Pareek on receiving Padmashree. On this occasion, the Union Minister of State honored 20 police constables and officers posted in the district on Republic Day with DG Honor Symbol and Citation for excellent service.
Director General of Police’s Gold Appreciation Mark has been given to Agra Commissionerate DCP Western Zone Sonam Kumar and the citation has been given to DCP Nagar Zone Suraj Rai. Along with this, 18 policemen in Agra Commissionerate have received meritorious service mark and silver medal. On this occasion, school children dressed in colorful dresses gave a mesmerizing presentation on patriotic songs.
The tricolor flag was hoisted at government offices in Agra district. Prabhat Pheri, cultural programs, sports competitions and patriotic programs were organized at various places in schools and colleges. A large number of people were present on this occasion.
